Before You Visit

Everything you need to know for your first climbing adventure at Flow

Your First Visit

We're a premium climbing centre, privately owned as a family business. We've spared no expense to get the best holds and best wall designs that we could afford, and we're so happy to invite everyone to experience great bouldering and fantastic climbing.

1

Check In & Waiver

Sign in at reception and complete our digital waiver (you can also do this online to save time).Link to waiver.

2

Get Your Gear

Hire climbing shoes ($5) and grab some chalk ($3). Our staff will help you find the right size shoes - they should be snug and squish your feet a little bit.

3

Safety Briefing

A staff member will give you a quick orientation covering gym rules, how to fall safely, and climbing etiquette. Feel free to ask questions!

4

Warm Up

Start with some easy climbs to warm up your muscles. Look for routes with Yellow holds - these are perfect for beginners.

5

Start Climbing!

Each route is marked by colored holds. Stay on one color from start to finish. Don't be afraid to ask other climbers for tips - we're a friendly bunch!

6

Rest & Refuel

Take breaks between climbs to rest your forearms. Grab a coffee or snack from our café and watch other climbers for inspiration!

What to Bring

Comfortable Clothes

Athletic wear that allows for stretching and movement. Avoid loose jewelry or items that could get caught.

Water Bottle

Stay hydrated! Bring a reusable water bottle - we have free refill stations throughout the gym.

Positive Attitude

Climbing is challenging but fun! Come ready to try new things and don't worry about being perfect.

Socks

If you're hiring shoes, bring socks. Thin socks work best with climbing shoes for better feel and fit.

Friends

Climbing is more fun with friends! Bring your crew or come solo and make new climbing buddies.

Good to Know

Kids & Supervision

All persons under 18 years of age must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to use of the facility. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times, and children under 8 are not recommended to climb past your reach. We require one adult supervisor for every two children climbing.

Pets

We're a pet-friendly gym, but dogs must be house-trained and taken outside to the designated grass verges, and owners must clean up after them. No dogs are allowed on the matting, furniture or below the climbs; dogs must stay on the concrete areas and be kept on leads at all times. Please consider whether your dog is easily frightened or prone to excessive barking, and don't bring dogs that may bite. Flow staff withhold the right to ask any climber or customer to remove their pet.

Refunds

Entry price for Flow provides all-day access to the gym, but does not guarantee a minimum time frame. We do not provide refunds for anyone unable or unwilling to participate in the activity of bouldering after entry to the facility. Class cancellations require 24-hour notice for a refund. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
